Foreign Minister David Miliband has arrived in Kabul for talks on the
future of the country.
The trip comes ahead of a conference in London on 28 January will be held,
please refer to the international community to discuss strategy for
Afghanistan.
It will focus on security, governance and regional relations.
President Hamid Karzai is expected to set targets for the training of
50,000 soldiers and corrupt provincial governors restriction.
The conference should set a timetable for the war takes place in 2010.
It is supported by representatives from 43 countries of NATO International
Security Assistance Force for Security in Afghanistan to visit.
A plan to train the police are also dealing with corruption and the
strategy for the appointment of 400 district governors and the region also
be considered.
Gordon Brown said the conference is designed to adapt to the military and
political strategies in a coordinated way.
In an interview with deputies before he left, David Miliband, said:
Politics is as important as the military in this conflict, because success
would not have killed the number of insurgents captured or measured, but
the number of Afghans live in peace in the Constitution. Miliband’s visit
coincides with the Afghan Parliament endorsed the candidacy of Foreign
Minister Zalmay Rasul.
Mr. Rasul is the first of 17 new candidates were elected by the members
after rejecting most of the first election of Hamid Karzai.
